I have finally sat down and started writing!
The book I’m planning has taken about 4 months for research and layout alone, and since it’s going to be pretty much non-fiction there’s probably no surprise there. Anyway, I’ve gotten to a point where I can’t really do any more research until I figure out how everything’s going to fit together and what writing style I’m going to use, so yesterday I fired up yWriter5, created my first 3 scenes and started writing.
The pace seems good so far. I only managed to put down about a thousand words in the short time I had before other commitments, but I’m quite happy with the first draft of my intro and first chapter. The family members that read it also think it’s pretty nifty, so I might actually be able to pull this off.
